Description

✈️ Boeing Stearman – 3D Static Model

This is a static model of the Boeing Stearman, the iconic training biplane used starting from the 1930s.
The model is intended exclusively for display purposes, not for flying, and has no electronic components.

The design features good overall detail and is suitable both as a collectible model and as a decorative item for aviation and modeling enthusiasts.

🛠️ Modifications and Credits
This model was modified and adapted from the original project created by @MarkoRoolaid, to whom full credit goes for the initial work.
Modifications were made to make the model fully printable on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini and optimized as a static model.

📺 Original Project Video (assembly reference)

🖨️ Assembly and Materials Used
The following were used to build the model:

  • Glue
  • Soldering iron for soldering and integrating the various components
  • Screws:
    • 1 × T.E. screw M3×16
    • 2 × T.E. screws M3×12
    • 8 × T.C.E.I. screws M3×10
    • 1 × T.C.E.I. screw M3×25
  • 1.6 mm steel rods (similar to TIG welding rods) for structural reinforcement

🔧 Assembly Notes
The assembly was performed roughly following the linked video, with some personal adjustments. Specifically:

  • Initially, all wing parts were printed and assembled using glue and a soldering iron
  • The wings were then sanded and polished
  • Next, the rest of the model was printed and the fuselage assembled, again using glue and soldering
  • The openings for the landing gear were created with a soldering iron, as shown in the video
  • Some components require minor manual adjustments for a better visual result

🖨️ Printing Notes

  • Static model (not RC, not flyable)
  • Optimized for Bambu Lab A1 Mini
  • Ideal for FDM printing
  • Suitable for painting and customization
