Description
Greetings, worthy artificers and perusers of the Maker's Guild. It is I, Sir Cadsalot.
Today, I present to you a 3D printable T-Shirt decal asking all those around you “Who's Your Patron Saint?”
The part is printed as a single piece, so it can easily be transferred from the build plate to a T-shirt. I have found the easiest way to attach the decal to a T-Shirt is to remove it from the build plate, lay it flat out on a T-shirt (or other clothing) and place a peice of baking parchment over the decal. Then take a clothes iron (here's your bravery test) and iron the decal onto the shirt through the baking paper. Take special attention to the corners of points in the design. I have found that when the image starts to look very slightly blurry, that is a good indication of the decal being well adhered to the clothing. Allow the clothing to cool for a few minutes before removing the baking paper.
I would wash cold and avoid high heat while drying, as the decal could potentially be deformed and cool while crumpled. This is especially important if PLA is used instead of TPU. I recommend hanging the shirt to dry after washing.
Please consider following for more decal designs along with additions to my rosary series and other interesting models to come.
God bless you in your travel, worthy artificer!
