Description

These are simple yet strong holders I made for use with Multiboard peg holes. The holders are made individually to allow more freedom for placement on your wall. I have printed in both petg and pla with no issues regarding strength. There are 3 different sizes. The large holder will handle 1lbs spools. The medium is for .5lbs and small for 1/12lbs. Not all spools have the same diameter so I've made sure to account for that as much as possible in the design. The goal here was a cheap filament use, and strong solution for thread storage.

info about the design

The first version of these worked well. However, over the months they would develop a sag from the weight of the spools. For this new design I have completely started over. The attachment point for the multiboard peg holes is re-drawn to be more snug fitting with less side to side wobble. the structure is modeled for strength to prevent sagging from the weight of the spools over time.

Boost MeIf you like my work please consider giving it a boost! This goes a long way to allowing me to keep designing and bringing my models here for all of you to enjoy. Thank you!
