🌱 Self-Watering Inner Pot with Water Level Indicator

This self-watering inner pot comes with a separately printed, perfectly working water-level indicator that clearly shows when it’s time to refill. The design is tested in real use and provides reliable bottom watering for healthy, happy plants.

 

The pot is designed for a perfect fit with my matching plant pots (linked below), but it can also be used with other planters.
👉 Important: It only fits if the upper diameter ÷ lower diameter is < 1.25.

The model can be easily scaled to match different sizes. I cannot guarantee the proper functionality of the water level indicator at scales below 100%. At larger scales, it operates without issues.
 

Great for (tropical) houseplants 🌿
For example: pothos, monstera cuttings, philodendron, syngoniums or alocasias

 

💡 Printing Tips 

• Print the pot and water-level indicator separately
• Prefer smooth materials, such as standard PLA or PETG, rather than matte PLA, for example, because the water-level indicator could otherwise encounter too much friction (especially at small pot scales).
• Use different layer heights for best results
  ➜ 0.2 mm for the pot
  ➜ 0.12 mm for the indicator
• Water-level indicator settings:
  • 1–2 wall loops
  • < 10 % infill
