Jeep Wrangler Liftgate Hinge Cover 07-18

Replacement liftgate hinge cover for the Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU (2007–2018). I made this because I didn’t want to pay $10 for a tiny piece of plastic—and I wanted something that fits close to stock.

This is the 5th iteration of the design and has been on my Jeep for about 6 months. I’m a Fusion 360 novice, and this project took roughly 20 hours of design updates to improve strength, prevent snapping, and dial in the fit.

Recommended Print Settings

• Material: PETG or ASA (preferred)
• Infill: 80%
• Wall loops/perimeters: 4
• Layer height: 0.20 mm
• Supports: Tree supports (Auto)
• Bed adhesion: optional (use brim if needed)

Installation

1. Line up the round hinge section and snap it into place.
2. If tight, apply a small drop of silicone spray or light oil.
3. Gently press and rotate the bottom until fully seated.
4. Do not force—light sanding or minor scaling may help.

Fitment Note
Fit may vary due to printer tolerances, material shrink, and hinge variations. Scaling ±0.5–1% or light sanding may be required.
