MagnaSwatch Glue-up Jigs

Glue-up jigs to ensure magnets in your MagnaSwatch items have the correct polarity.

Superglue a 8x1mm magnet into the hole in the bottom, so when you drop a magnet on top it has its polarity aligned

Tips: 

1.  Put two magnets together and mark the outsides with a Sharpie. Glue the marked edges face down into the mount jig and the swatch jig to ensure they have opposite polarity.
2. When using the jigs, drop a magnet on top. Slide it to swatch or mount hole and they seat it flush with the eraser on a pencil.
3. Eye protection is highly recommended when gluing magnets - they can jump together and splash superglue.
4. If a magnet is problematic, don't try to slide it from the jig again with superglue on it. Wipe it clean and set to the side until dry. Keeping the jig and your fingers superglue free is key to success!

MagnaSwatch is composed of 4 components:

1. A pre-generated set of filament swatches for all Bambu Lab filaments
   • ~250 swatches to cover all Bambu Lab filaments on sale
   • Requires two 8x1mm magnets and a drop of superglue
   • Each swatch is on it's own plate, with a single filament change for the text - just pick your colors and hit print
2. A SCAD file to allow creation of filament swatches for other brands in just seconds
   • Generate swatches either in MakerWorld or locally on your computer
   • Just type in the text you want
   • Beautiful swatches in seconds
   • No alignment headaches
3. Various mounts to attach the swatches to:
   • Screw on shelf mount
   • Clip on mount for Antiphrasis's Sturdy Modular Filament Spool Rack
   • Rod mount
   • Push on mount for Ikea (and other) bookcases
   • Or design your own using the swatch dimensions images in the creator
4. Glue up jigs to make it easy to glue the magnets in
   • Ensure the polarity of the magnets is correct
   • Easily slide the magnets into place
