2/3/26 update: added multi-color print profile.

2/8/26 update: made changes to both print profiles

3/18/26 update: fixed tolerance issues with the track pieces and hull

A revision of the original Type 74 model in 1/72 scale!

The track pieces may have a tight-fit to the hull, if you want to remove the track parts you may need to use a bambu-scraper to wedge the pieces apart!

Left to right: V1 Type 74, V2 Type 74

Originally when I made the Type 74 there were issues, the turret collided with hull details and needed a redesign, a redesign to the turret which was already in the final stages. I shortcut this fix by adding a extension to the bottom of the turret, but it resulted in a very tall-looking and unrealistic Type 74 turret. Fast-forward to today where I decided there should be changes.

Type 74 now with a moving gun.

The turret was redesigned from scratch, now the turret has a more realistic look instead of the odd shape V1 had, and it even has a moveable gun! The second thing that was changed was the hull, the rear part of the hull didn't look too accurate to the real thing, so this was also changed. The third thing that was changed was the tracks, the tracks and wheels didn't look right and some details were too pronounced, so some changes were made.

Type 74 with different track pieces.

Another change to this model was the tracks, the tracks I posted in V1 only had three track positions, one in a normal position, one in a “high-clearance” position, and one in a “low-clearance” position. I decided to go back and add two more positions, one with a “lowered front” position and one in a “raised front” position. Now with these new track positions, you can mix and match different ones to get your desired pose. The track pieces may have a tight-fit to the hull, if you want to remove the track parts you may need to use a bambu-scraper to wedge the pieces apart!

Want it in 1/48 scale? Just scale it up to 149.99%. It's not recommended to print it in 1/100, but if you also want it in 1/100, scale it down to 71.99%
