Description

This is a reinforced 3-way splitter for standard inner diameter 6mm (1/4") irrigation tubing. Designed for durability and leak prevention, this model features an angled outlet to help manage hose routing in tight spaces, such as garden beds or hydroponic reservoirs.

By utilizing a high-infill density and finer layer lines, this version is built to withstand more pressure and handling than standard decorative prints.

Optimized Print Settings

These settings have been tuned on a Bambu Lab A1 for maximum part integrity and a watertight finish:

  • Filament: PLA (PETG or ASA recommended for long-term outdoor use).
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm (Optimal) — The finer layers provide smoother barbs for a superior airtight hose seal.
  • Infill: 100% — Necessary to ensure the part is solid, leak-proof, and won't snap under the tension of the tubing.
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm.
  • Supports: None — Engineered with 45° angles to print perfectly without support material.
  • Adhesion: No brim or raft required (ensure your PEI plate is clean for best results).

Why 100% Infill?

In irrigation, "water-tightness" is key. Using 100% infill prevents high-pressure water from finding microscopic gaps between internal walls, ensuring the water goes to your plants and not out of the sides of the connector.

Creator’s Tip

If you find the hose is difficult to slide on, briefly dip the end of your tubing in warm water to soften it. Once it cools over the barbs, it will create a permanent, secure fit.
