Description

This is a Makerworld remix of Devon Jones' Trap Door compilation. This uses the fast terrain print profile settings making this model printable directly from Bambu Handy App. Print-by-object is chosen for reliable printability of the upright standing trapdoor and to be able to print the cut-stone trapdoor set in two colors without any filament poop from switching color between each layer. Please consider supporting and becoming a Patreon for the original author on the linked models sites.

Included are:

  • Set Trapdoor Towne
  • Set Trapdoor Cut-Stone
  • Modified 2x2 Base with larger cut-out for trapdoor

Images done just out of the printer without any painting, printed in BambuLab dark grey PLA and cocoa brown PLA (see linked filament).

Boost MeIf you like this model and other of my uploaded OpenForge models, and want to show your thanks, you can boost my models.

Assembly:

  1. Print one modified base (plate 3) and one set of either towne or cut-stone for each full trap door set.
  2. Use a paperclip and bend it straight
  3. Shorten the paperclip so it fits inside the towne or cut-stone floor underside and through the trap door
  4. Insert magnets into the base
  5. Put glue on the base
  6. Put the paperclipped trap door in its spot in the floor
  7. Quickly stick the trap door + floor contraption on top of the glued base (without the magnets escaping)

For magnets you have to use 5mm neodym magnet balls/spheres to fit inside the modified base.
