This piece is used in modern decor to represent emotional mindfulness. The way the figure "holds" its own heart suggests a narrative of keeping one's emotions safe or finding internal balance.

The figure doesn’t actually have a solid chest or stomach. The "body" is formed by the empty space between the arms and the legs.
