Conceptual Overview
Update: Scaled down 10% and improved quality + Supports.
This model represents Vessel, the central figure of the collective Sleep Token. The design focuses primarily on the intricate geometry of the mask, which serves as the visual anchor for the band's lore. The topology has been optimized to capture the organic weathering and distinct angular features that characterize the "Take Me Back To Eden" era aesthetic.
Technical Analysis & Print Specifications
This mesh is dense. Adhering to specific parameters is required to preserve the fine details of the mask filigree and fabric textures.
- Printer Compatibility: FDM (tuned) or SLA (recommended for maximum fidelity).
- Material: PLA Matte or ASA (for post-processing ease).
- Layer Height: 0.12mm or lower. The mask details will wash out at standard 0.20mm heights.
- Walls/Perimeters: 3 walls minimum. This ensures the thin edges of the mask do not become brittle.
- Infill: 10-15% Gyroid. Structural integrity is secondary to surface finish here.
Critical Support Data
Due to the overhangs present in the hood and chin area, supports are mandatory but must be placed strategically to avoid scarring the focal points.
- Support Type: Tree/Organic supports.
- Interface Z Distance: 0.2mm (standard) or 0.16mm (for easier removal if your cooling is dialed in).
- Keep-Out Zones: Paint support blockers on the front face of the mask. Force supports only on the back of the head and under the chin.
Post-Processing Strategy
To achieve a canon-accurate look:
- Sanding: Minimal sanding required if printed at low layer heights. Focus on support interface areas.
- Priming: Use a filler primer to smooth layer lines on the cowl/hood.
- Painting: The mask requires a bone-white base with heavy dark washing to accent the recesses. The runic sigils should be painted with precision, utilizing a dry-brush technique to simulate erosion.
