DnD Cloaker - D&D Monster Manual - Day 28

This is the twenty eigth day of a project to make every mini in the 2014 Monster Manual for my friend who is planning a gauntlet game - we will be fighting every monster in it!

I'll be doing one monster a day until it's done. Follow the collection and my page to see how they turn out!

 

These are made using Makerlab's Image to 3D model, and then tidied up in Blender.

Today's monster is the manta ray of the deep - the Cloaker!

These alien aberrations haunt the caverns of the underdark, and their motives cannot be predicted - even by the most intelligent wizards.

 

This model is scaled to fit a 50mm base - but can be altered in the slicer to suit your needs. 

Please take care when rescaling that the parts are thick enough to print.

 

A no base stl is included if you want to base it yourself in a modeling program.

 

Please take care removing supports, especially where the body meets the tail. Hold the model by the head when removing supports and being gentle.

Snipping the supports is a good idea.

Remember, superglue works magic!

Weird artifacts fixed on this model:

• Thickened up the tail so that it would support the body
