Description
I liked this screw on basket design from th3oldm4n but didn't know if the thread or diameter would fit the broken baskets on my LL Bean Winter Walker poles. After a quick print, I knew I needed a smaller diameter and larger thread pitch. After running some samples of standard thread designs from my CAD program, I found the ACME 5/8 2G right hand thread with the minor thru hole diameter increased to 14.25mm worked just fine. I added the thread design “insert” of an .stl file to the original file from th3oldm4n using the Bambu slicer, and changed from tree to standard support - which gave me a slightly better finish on the outer diameter basket details. The Bambu ASA baskets I printed screwed on my Bean Winter Walker poles without issue, and performed well in today's “stress test” snow storm.
Thanks again for the original design, hope this new insert opens up it's use on additional pole designs.
