This project is a complete rework of my previous fraction strip set, specifically designed for mathematics education in classrooms or at home. This updated version features an improved fit that is more forgiving of minor printing tolerances and inaccuracies. The text on the strips is now slightly embossed to ensure much better readability and printability.
Key Features and Improvements
- Enhanced Fit: The tolerances have been optimized to ensure smooth handling even if your printer is not perfectly calibrated.
- Improved Readability: The fractions are slightly raised, making them easier to read and feel.
- Sliding Lid: A new sliding lid is included to keep the strips securely in the box when not in use.
- Multiple Box Options: 1. Standard Box: A reliable storage solution for a single set. 2. Stackable Box: Features a specialized rim for stacking multiple units. Note: The stackable version requires a rubber band to hold the lid and stack together during transport.
Fractions Included
The standard set is included in the profiles. Fractions for sevenths (1/7) are also provided within the files. If you require specific fractions that are not currently included, please leave a request in the comments section.
Print Profiles
There are 4 distinct print profiles available to suit your hardware and aesthetic preferences:
- With Ironing (AMS): Optimized for a premium smooth surface finish. Tuned for Bambu Lab PLA Basic (green in the picture) and JAYO PLA+ (orange).
- Without Ironing (AMS): Faster print times while maintaining high quality.
- With Ironing (Manual Color Change): For printers without an AMS. This profile includes pre-set pauses so you can change the filament manually for the text. Optimized for Bambu Lab PLA Basic and JAYO PLA+.
- Without Ironing (Manual Color Change): The fastest option for manual filament changes.
I made them incompatible for the A1 Mini because the box+cover wont fit.
