Gear fidget: Fat Boy Spin
Another fidget to keep your hands busy. This one gained some weight and has biiiig gears.
This version has 4 different shell types and 4 different wheels. Make sure to use same type of gears in the print.
Assembly
All parts fit in place like shown on the picture:
Few notes:
- before assembly - make sure to clean up the printed parts to ensure smooth wheel operation. Best is to clean all flat surfaces and inside gears off of any artefacts using sharp knife (or something similar)
- NOTE: some gear types need to be mounted in specific way. Center one needs to be upside down compared to others. Also, you need to put all four wheels at the same time on the shell - otherwise they will not fit.
- put the gears first on a shell with sockets
- second step is to insert other shell into sockets
- make sure to press evenly on all four connection points
- lastly put the center two parts - do not use too much pressure. If you feel resistance stop, clean the parts and try again.
