Description
I know the 3D-printable market is flooded with bud trainers, but this is a design I put together a while back that offers something different: three training angles in a single piece.
Depending on the branch thickness and the trainer size, you can achieve multiple angles with the same trainer. For example, using the large trainer on a large branch gives you approximately 45°, 90°, and 101°. Using that same large trainer on a smaller branch produces slightly shallower angles. With three trainer sizes available, there’s a lot of flexibility built into the system.
The file is saved as PLA red, but you can easily create the red, white, and blue version in Bambu Studio using height-range painting. I recommend printing in a bright, high-visibility color so it’s easy to spot in the foliage. Avoid yellow (it attracts gnats), green (easy to lose), and glow-in-the-dark filaments, which can interfere with the plant’s photosynthesis.
