Compact Modular Soldering Stand

A compact holder/stand designed for USB-C soldering irons. Swappable inserts let you switch irons without printing a whole new stand.

📢 UPDATE 03/27/2026: Added a STEP file that includes all bases and inserts, making it easier for anyone to adapt the design for soldering pens that I don't have on hand.

Base Variations

  • Standard: A minimal, low-profile base.
  • Copper Ball Can: Designed to fit a standard compact Ø40mm copper ball tin (LINK).
  • Integrated: Features a built-in compartment and lid for holding loose copper wool (cut to size).

Included Inserts

  • FNIRSI HS-02B
  • Miniware TS21
  • ANENG SL108

Note: These are the specific models I have on hand and have physically verified for fit. I plan to add inserts for other models as I am able to confirm them.

Clearances between stand and insert are set to zero for a snug fit, so make sure your printer is dialed in for best results.

⚠️

Material: The inserts must be printed in a high-temperature filament.

I verified these using Polymaker HT-PLA-GF, running each iron for at least 10 minutes without any softening or deformation. While most USB-C irons have auto-sleep features, please use common sense and never leave a hot iron unattended.
