This is my print in place fidget ring design. The concave inner ring keeps the convex outer ring in alignment and allows it to spin freely without any assembly need. I have included a section view of this geometry below. If you enjoy the design a like or make would be appreciated.
Instructions
Estimate your finger diameter then select the ring with the corresponding inner diameter.
The ring prints in place and no assembly is required.
I recommend printing with an outer brim. Do not used an inner bring because it may fuse the inner and outer rings together. This will prevent the ring from spinning.
If your ring does not spin it is likely because the inner and outer rings fused together. The gap between the two rings is approximately 0.20mm. If this gap is too small for your printer, scale up the outer ring in the x and y direction until the inner and outer ring no longer fuse together.
The more you spin the ring the smoother it will get. In addition, adding some generic plastic lubricant significantly reduces friction and allows the ring to spin for much longer. The ring shown in the video had been spun for many hours and was lubricated.
