Description
Prusacaster Ultimate
The one to rule them all.
It gathers many of ideas and modifications copied from other 3D printed guitars.
WARNING! This projectis one of the most complicated things you can 3D print. I recommend to do a research on how to make and set a guitar.
The guitar’s body is made out of different materials. The main part that helds the strings was printedwith PET-G to provide enough strenght and temperature versatility. There are two 270mm long aluminium shafts going through the body to increase the stiffness and improve tuning stability.
All other parts were printed with PLA and can be changed without dissassembling the main body.
The parts are connected with 6,3mm threaded inserts and M4 screws instead of glue.
Pickup holes, pickguard, bridge and controls plate are covered with copper tape and soldered to provide proper grounding.
The parts needed for the project (except shafts ad bolts) can be bought on Thomann:
Aside from being a standard Telecaster, this guitar went through many of modifications of which some will be listed here:
- humbucker in the bridge
- 250k pots
- 6 saddles with rollers
- string trees with rollers
The additional parts were bought on Alliexpress.
