Overview

This is V2 of my original forked knob guard for Samsung front-control ranges. V2 focuses on a more robust feel with a thicker print-in-place hinge geometry and sturdier fork arms.

What’s improved vs V1 (Version 1 Located Here)

• Thicker print-in-place hinge geometry for better long-term feel
• Stronger fork arms to reduce flex
• Overall more robust body

How it works

• The ring sits around the knob area
• The hinged fork flips up for access and flips down to help reduce accidental bumps or turns
• Open-top design keeps the knob visible and easy to grab quickly

What’s included

• 3MF / STL files for the guard with print-in-place hinge

Install (adhesive required)

• Clean the stove face with isopropyl alcohol and let dry
• Apply small 2–3 mm adhesive squares or dots to the contact pads on the back (keep adhesive inside the perimeter)
• Press firmly for 30–60 seconds and let the adhesive cure per product instructions before normal use

Printing notes

• Prints in one piece (print-in-place hinge) — no assembly required
• No supports recommended (as designed)
• After printing, gently work the hinge back and forth to free it (do not force it)

Material

• PETG, ASA, or ABS recommended for better heat resistance
• PLA may soften if the stove area gets warm

Fit & tweaks

• Verify clearance around neighboring knobs before sticking it down
• If hinge feels tight: lightly sand the hinge bore or try XY scale −1%
• If the fork feels too loose: try XY scale +1% (small adjustments only)
