Snapmaker U1 Auto Feeder Cover PTFE Coupler Holder

If you want to reposition the filament feeder near to a filament dryer or similar, then this comes in handy.

This cover replaces in the right filament feeder and holds four PTFE-tube-coupler. There is also a outlet for the cable for the filament feeder.
If you want to move the filament feeder further away like me you will need a extension cable for both filament feeders. The extension cables are available on aliexpress. You need the 15p. Each pcs is 20cm long:

The numbers on the small number plates are seperated. Choose easy another color if you like.

The 3mf for Snapmaker Orca or Orcaslicer is in the STL/CAD dowload section, named “Snapmaker U1 Feeder Unit Coupler holder U1”.

You will also need four PTFE tube coupler (https://eu.store.bambulab.com/de/products/ptfe-tube-coupler?id=46902128443740) and a suitable length of PTFE tubing for your setup. Here´s a picture of the couplers, the side with the black end is the PTFE route IN and the blue end is OUT:

 

 

If you relocate the filament feeders, you have to increase or decrease the filament feeding distance in the printer.cfg. Measure it roughly and then increase the distance step by step. You need to change under filament_feed left and filament_feed right the value "preload_length". Standard value is 950 (mm).

I will also upload the “Towers” for the filament feeder. They have exactly the required dimensions to position the filament feeder behind the dryer at the height of the rear PTFE outlets.
