After some time, I decided to redesign my original Family Shadow Box concept. Many people wanted their own personalized version, and it became difficult to fulfill every individual request.

 

So I created a solution that allows you to design your own version easily, exactly the way you want it.

What You Need

• A free ChatGPT account
• A 3D printer 😅

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Shadow Maker

Go to:

Select Shadow Maker.

2. Create Your Silhouette

 

 

Open the Silhouette Creator.

 

I created a custom GPT that generates silhouette files for you.

You can simply type something like:

 

“Create a silhouette with a father, mother, and two children. One boy is 1 year old and the other is 5 years old.”

 

For best results, upload a clear full-body photo of you and your loved ones instead.

 

Download the generated PNG file.

 

 

 

3. Upload to the Family Shadow Website

 

Upload the PNG to the Family Shadow site.

 

Adjust the settings as you like.

 

 

Important:

Make sure the mounting foot is properly connected to the silhouette.

 

Recommended settings:

 

• Detail: Maximum
• Smoothness: Max 0.5 (higher values may remove important details)

4. Export & Print

Download the STL file (generation may take a moment).

 

Import it into Bambu Studio (or your preferred slicer) using my project file.

 

 

Print your custom Family Shadow Box.
