Retro Rubber-Band Paddle Boat (Pool & Tub Toy)

This is a modern recreation of a classic mid-century rubber-band–powered wooden boat, redesigned for reliable 3D printing and water use. The hull maintains the simple, flat-deck profile of traditional bath toys, while the internal chamber houses a tensioned rubber-band drive system that spins a rear paddle for propulsion.

The model is optimized for FDM printing with no supports and straightforward assembly. The drivetrain uses standard rubber bands for easy replacement and adjustable power. Wind the paddle shaft, place it in water, and release for a smooth, mechanical cruise across a pool or bathtub.
