DnD Balor Demon - D&D Monster Manual - Day 37

This is the thirty seventh day of a project to make every mini in the 2014 Monster Manual for my friend who is planning a gauntlet game - we will be fighting every monster in it!

I'll be doing one monster a day until it's done. Follow the collection and my page to see how they turn out!

 

These are made using Makerlab's Image to 3D model, and then tidied up in Blender.

Today's monster takes us on our first trip to the Abyss - it's the definitely not a Balrog, the Balor!

The forces of Chaotic Evil need generals - these hulking monsters are those generals.

 

I have provided 2 sizes for this one - one with wingspan at 75mm and one with the body at roughly 75mm - take your pick!

Please take care when rescaling that the parts are thick enough to print.

 

A no base profile is included if you want to base it yourself.

 

Please take care removing supports, especially on the whip, sword and wings.

Snipping the supports is a good idea.

Remember, superglue works magic!

 

Pictured grid is 2cm X 2cm.

 

 

Weird artifacts fixed on this model:

• Entirely replaced the sword, it was a mess
• Thickened up and tidied the whip
• Cleared a lot of artifacting from around it's feet
