Brake line bender

Boost MeI have been busy with my spanners / wrenches recently slowing my uploads but I have modelled and printed some more tooling and motor accessories this is one of a few to drop. Stay tuned, why not give a brother a boost, I don't cash out 100% of points gained go back into 3d printing to bring you more cool stuff!

So being from the UK a tiny little island on the edge of a very large, very salty ocean vehicles here are especially prone to corrosion issues and unfortunately brake pipes (lines) are not immune to this, being safety critical they need freshening up from time to time. 

 

For those who don't know I'm a mechanic,  well was a mechanic I'm more heavy industry Hydraulic Mechanic nowadays but I'm still the household auto mechanic.

 

Being Hydraulically biased I hate untidy hydraulic lines that look awful and in some cases are unsafe due to abrasion against surfaces they shouldn't be touching. if you buy a car and they have been done like someone has thrown spaghetti at your chassis chances are they should be done again. If the mechanic / technician took the time to make them look good chances are they took the time and thought to do the job properly and safely, lets face it we all need to stop at some point and the brake lines make sure that will happen when you squeeze that pedal.

 

This bender will make that job so much easier I've used similar tools, sockets, knees 😂 before but this tool is a joy to use. really easy to get repeatable reliable bends time and time again.

 

Fits standard 3/16" brake lines and can be easily used after flaring and nut installation.

 

Please only do this job on your own vehicle if you are trained and competent in this type of work you don't get many chances messing this up and can put yourself and other road users safety at risk, if in doubt seek professional advice and you could even show them the cool tubing bender you printed from makerworld!
