🟢 Slime Guy Tap Cap – Functional Mechanical Keycap

Couldn’t get one before they sold out… so I made my own.

 

This is a fully functional, 3D printed Slime Guy–inspired Tap Cap designed to work with standard mechanical key switches. It mounts and functions just like the original style tap caps and works directly on your keyboard.

 

I’m currently running it on brown switches, but it will fit any standard MX-style mechanical key switch.

🛠 Print Settings (Recommended)

• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer Height Used: 0.08mm and 0.12mm
• Recommended: 0.4 nozzle at 0.08mm layer height for best balance of quality and print time
• For maximum detail: 0.2 nozzle (better surface quality, longer print time)

The model is optimized to preserve the small character details while keeping the stem strong and usable.

 

⚠ Important: When removing supports from the stem area, be careful. The stem cavity is small, and if supports are removed too aggressively it can damage or break the stem. Take your time and remove supports gently for best results.
