Description
Left or Right railway switch compatible with LE-GO or MOC city creative trains.
Switch dimensions:
Â
Â
The first option allows for a track spacing of 103.1 mm in the double-track section. This distance is not the same as any distance for other types of switches, i.e., the same combination of switch and tracks must be used on the other side of the double-track section.
Â
Â
The second option allows for a track spacing of 113 mm in the double-track section. This option allows you to combine one or two switches in the junction. This distance is also the same as the distance with the wye switch (link to the wye switch you can find below). This makes it possible to combine different types of switches in more ways and create more interesting station junctions.

Â
The connecting mechanism has been tested many times to ensure that it is not too tight, but still holds the tracks together firmly. Nevertheless, I recommend printing test pieces before printing full switch – see more in the chapter on printing.
Â
The switches on photos are printed from PLA Eryone - bright black.
Â
The first two plates of the print profile contain all parts of the switches (first plate - right switch, second plate - left switch). The next plates contain special tracks to achieve the required distance between the tracks. These special tracks have the letter R or L and number 1 or 2 (according to the switch and variant) on the bottom to avoid mixing them up with other tracks. For printing, select only the tracks according to the selected variant and adjust the number of pieces if necessary.
Â
There are not many special settings here - objects have 2 perimeters and 15% infill. Layer height is 0.2 mm. There are a few modifiers to improve bridging. Overhanging parts of the rails have supports. Some sharp edges of thin objects have brim added "just in case."
I always prioritize quality over speed, so you can "play around" with the speeds if you want.
There is a separate print profile for the test of connection mechanism. You can use it to test whether the mechanism will work properly with your printer settings. Alternatively, you can slightly modify the flow - for Eryone PLA I use 0.97 (setting of Bambulab profiles for Bambulab PLA is 0.98).Â
Tolerances are set according to my P1S.
Â
ATTENTION - to complete the model, you need to purchase 8 screws M2 x 4 with lower head (DIN7984). You can find these screws for example on Aliexpress.
Â
Assembling
Â
According to the attached manual. The instructions are only for the right version of the switch – the left version is simply a mirrored one.
