1:400 scale Nubian J-type 327

The J-type 327 is a Royal ship used by the Royal House of Naboo and Queen Amidala as a diplomatic vessel first appearing in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999). the ship featured no on-board weaponry but did feature shields, the ship had a length of 249 feet (76 meters) and a wingspan of 87 feet (26 meters) the main body of the ship was made from chromium, a material that is very effective at deflecting laser attacks while giving the ship it's beautiful metallic skin. the ship's spaceframe was inspired by the Lockheed SR-71 blackbird and it's metallic coating was inspired by hood ornaments on 1950's cars.

The J-type is possibly my all-time favorite Star Wars ship, I've been wanting to make this for a while, but I didn't as I was very picky about how I wanted to make the engines merge smoothly into the fuselage and wings, in the end, the engines are a separate cylinder and doesn't merge into the body of the ship, but I'm pretty sure many won't mind, the model was made in blender 4.3 using a square and subdividing it to get the smooth liquid metal look of the ship, one print profile will include landing gear and one won't, I'm thinking about making the hanger the j-type flies out of in the movie, and the landing pad on coruscant also in the same movie, if you enjoy this model and rate it, please add pictures, feel free to paint it (I actually encourage it!!), make sure to be careful when removing supports, especially on the engine spikes, as they are pretty easy to break off. anyway, thanks for taking time out of your day for reading this silly little message :)
