Waterproof Latch Sealed Boxes - Print-in-Place

A fully print-in-place waterproof storage box with integrated latches and optional TPU gasket seal. No hardware. No assembly. Just print and use. 

Each box prints fully assembled with integrated hinges and over-center locking latches - no hardware or assembly required. An optional TPU gasket creates a tight seal suitable for splash-resistant protection and odor containment.

The box system comes in multiple sizes, from compact storage for small parts and electronics, to a large workshop-ready size, and even a specific size for keeping up to two phones protected from dust and water.

The over-center latches provide a very sturdy and satisfying feel when sealing the box, much more so than other more common latching mechanisms, and with zero assembly required.

The boxes are mostly splashproof without the TPU gasket, but adding the gasket makes them seal quite well, and as shown in the gif below the box can even survive a quick full submersion without leaking.

Note that while this is highly splash-resistant and briefly submersible, true long-term waterproofing may require post-processing to properly seal the layers - don't expect to go scuba diving with this in your pocket!

Sizes

Each size has its own print profile. Note all sizes are internal dimensions. Walls are 5mm thick so add 10mm to get external dimensions (not including hinges/latches).

Small - 100x50x40mm

A compact box designed to hold small parts, electronics, collectibles, and anything else which needs secure, splash-proof storage.

Medium - 150x70x50mm

Mid-sized box designed to hold small hand tools like pliers/screwdrivers, collectibles, consumables and so on.

Large - 200x80x70mm

Large sized box designed to hold larger tools, collections of parts, or general items which need secure protection.

Phone Protection Case - 165x80x25mm

A special size designed to hold up to two standard size phones, keeping them protected from both water/dust ingress and from drop damage. Perfect for use at the beach to protect from sand and sea water, or for general use any time you need to feel your phone is secure.

Customization

It is very easy to add your own text or symbols to the outside of the box. In Bambu Studio, simply click on the box then click the text icon in the top bar (see below image). Enter your desired text/symbols, and ensure that “Cut” is selected as the operation at the bottom.

Now click the “move” icon in the top bar, change coordinates to “World Coordinates”, and enter 0 for the Z position. This will put the text on the first layer, which will cut it out of the lid or base (wherever you put it).
