This bot allows you to use your Google or Alexa voice assistant to automatically pour your favorite drink without all that heavy lifting. When using the Whiskey bot, you can customize the trigger phrase, as well as what your voice assistants response will be. Your voice assistant can be programmed to respond with a custom phrase while it is dispensing your drink. 

 

Try using phrases like: “Hey Google, Pour Me a Drink” or “Hey Alexa, It's time to get drunk”

 

You can have your assistant respond with custom phrases like:

 

“Sure, let me pour you a little nip of Maker's Mark Bourbon. Maker's Mark is made with soft red winter wheat, instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon”

 

or

 

“Wow, this went from That's Cool to You Might have a Problem… real quick”

 

I have also built in a NFC tag slot, so that you can tap your phone to the bunghole to dispense without using your voice assistant. 

 

The tap handle was designed to spin. It does nothing… but it spins. Come on! That's cool. 

 

Please see the setup instructions located in the guide for assembly and programming instructions. While no soldering is needed, I do suggest buying the Sonoff circuit board with 2-pin screw terminals for ease of use. 

 

The brains of this build are controlled by the Sonoff SV wireless switch module. These boards are inexpensive, and are easy to program using only your phone. No breadboard or complicated circuitry needed! This also allows you to control your Whiskey bot using your phone app.

 

The heart of this Whiskey Bot is the peristaltic pump. This pump comes with a 12v motor, and is what pushes the alcohol from your bottle and into your glass. Peristaltic pumps are food safe, as your liquid never touches printed parts or items that may contain contaminates. 

 

The Whiskey bot has been designed to make it easy to customize, fun to build, and simple to operate. Using wood filament also gives you that real wood smell!

This Whiskey bot project also includes a stand to hold your bot. The stand and tap should allow for enough clearance for a 8 ounce rocks glass. 

 

While I have created this bot with Maker's Mark in mind, I have also included a version with no logo so that you can customize your own. Insert your favorite beverage, team logo, or anything else that screams “THIS IS MY BAR”.
