MagSpring Impossible Pass-Through

This is a 3D-printed impossible pass-through idea, upgraded with a magnetic spring core. Inside the body, a magnetized sphere rides a cushion of like-pole repulsion, hovering and bobbing as you tilt, tap, or gently shake the piece. It looks like the center is floating in midair… because it kind of is.

How it works

• (2) 12×3mm round magnets press into the top and bottom caps
• The inner sphere uses 6×3mm magnets arranged so the same poles face the caps
• The result: a satisfying, quiet “boing” effect — a kinetic desk toy that’s equal parts illusion and physics demo
