X2D/P2S HEPA Air Filter for External Exhaust Fan

The model is a HEPA air filter for the original External Exhaust Fan Kit designed for the Bambu Lab P2S and X2D.

 

Attention: The case supplied with the X2D has a slightly different shape than the printed one from for the P2S, therefore there is a separate model/print profile for X2D. 

 

It can be used in addition to my activated carbon filter box or standalone.

 

With the filter, particles generated during printing are captured. Thanks to the active exhaust fan, these particles are no longer blown uncontrolled through any openings in the printer; instead they are routed through the filter in a controlled manner.

 

 

Print and Assembly Instructions:

 

It is recommended to use PETG or ABS/ASA for this filter.

1.  First print all parts (I added two plates within every profile, one without clips and one with clips - print only what you need)

   Please note: If you filters do not fit when using the default profile you might try the alterntaive ones. The filters exist with some tolerances and some batches are slightly larger.

2.  Assemble the clips 
   1. P2S: use the screws that are delivered with the external exhaust fan kit
   2. X2D: you need to source BT2x5mm screws for it (self-tapping screws). You can try normal M2x5mm screws that are not self-tapping, but I cannot guarantee that it works well.
3.  Add the HEPA filters
4.  Assemble it to the External Exhaust Fan Kit
