Description
I'm a big fan of both the Gridfinity and openGrid systems, and this design brings them together in a practical way - letting you keep hanging tools organized and within easy reach on a Gridfinity base.
I originally designed this as a companion to my A1 Printer Gridfinity Attachment System, but it works with any Gridfinity-compatible baseplate.
The included 3MF contains everything needed for assembly:
Print, assemble, mount your tool holders, and you're ready to go. If you want a wider setup, you can use two of these stands side-by-side as shown in one of the model pictures.
Update March 8, 2026
I've added a print profile to allow the use of openGrid Heavy, by KYZDesign. The 3MF file includes the modified GRoG stand, a heavy openGrid panel, and the needed Multiconnect components.
Assembly
Optional but recommended:
Consider installing standard 6 mm × 2 mm Gridfinity magnets in the base of the stand, with matching magnets in your baseplate. I use these beside my A1 printers, and the added stability helps prevent accidental tip-overs when grabbing tools.
