Description
At the heart of the chamber, a scroll rests atop a stone platform etched with glowing magical markings. Though wreathed in flickering tongues of fire, the parchment remains untouched by the heat, its weathered surface bearing ancient text that defies the flames. You feel a hum of power radiating from the center of the room, as if the scroll itself is the key to an unspoken ritual.
This supportless miniature of an opened scroll, can be used as many things in your next Dungeons and Dragons adventure. A way to communicate, receive a quest, enter a magical contract, materialise a test of wisdom, and much much more.
I made different variants with a few elements mixed together:
The baseless variants need to be glued to a (see through) base, they do not stand on their own.
The scrolls are about 1 inch (25 mm) in height and 16 mm (0,6 inch) diameter base.
They take about 25 minutes per scroll to print and are easy to paint with some light brown contrast paint, to make the runes/writings “pop” on the parchement.
Not using the print profile?
The scrolls are printed at 0.08 layer height and do not need supports. The baseless scrolls need a brim though.
Best to print them one at the time (or dry your filament very very well).
Enjoy!
