The original front cover of the Corsair Carbide 175R has very restricted airflow, causing high component temperatures.
That's why I decided to design and print this custom cover!
Features:
- Perfect fit
- Improved airflow
- Lower temperatures
- Mesh dust filter
- Fairly easy print (see below)
Printing instructions cover:
- Print profile contains 3 build plates:
- Top part
- Bottom part
- 2 triangular connectors
- Use PETG or ABS for cover parts
- Ensure clean bed, high enough bed temperature and avoid drafts
- Parts are large and could warp
- I had a tiny bit of warping at the corners with a textured PEI plate @ 75C
- Print profile is optimised and tested
Printing instructions dust filter:
- Print profile contains 2 build plates:
- I used PLA, other materials should work fine as well
- Print profile is optimised and tested
Assembly:
- Insert connectors in the triangular holes on either half of the cover
- Attach the other half, some force might be required
- Attach the dust filters using the round holes
- There is a slight difference between both filters
