Description
This is a fully-functional, portable laptop stand.
Users of my previous version have requested a more portable design.
This model is designed with portability as its top priority. If you want more stability at your desk, the previous design is recommended. It allows you to stand your laptop upright and is wider, offering greater stability.
This version has a narrower width, from 40mm to 20mm, and is designed to fold down even more compactly for portability.
Each stand folds and locks into place with a precise snap-fit mechanism, and the two stands are joined together magnetically.
The ability to stand the laptop vertically has been removed for portability.(Because no one wants to have their laptop standing upright somewhere other than their own desks.)
Use four 4x2 or 6x2 or 6x3 or 10x2 circular magnets. (There are profiles for each)
(While the 4x2 magnets are functional enough, other sizes have been added at the request of users.)
The magnets are there to keep the two stands together when you carry them. Even without the magnets, each stand would remain folded.
When attaching the magnet, be mindful of the polarity.
Assembly is very simple: just connect the two hinges and insert the stick.
(I looked into printing with the hinges joined, but even though it was a bit more cumbersome, I found that printing this way had a higher success rate.)
