Modern Ring Cage Table Lamp (Upcycled Base)

This lamp was designed to reuse an old table lamp base and give it a modern industrial look. The design features a minimal cylindrical cage made from stacked rings with a soft PLA diffuser inside that spreads the light evenly.

The lamp prints easily and works great with standard LED bulbs. The ring structure gives the lamp a modern architectural appearance, while the diffuser creates a soft ambient glow.

This project is perfect if you want to upgrade an old lamp base instead of throwing it away.

Assembly

1. Print the ring cage parts.
2. Print the diffuser in white PLA or silk PLA.
3. Insert the diffuser inside the cage.
4. Place the lamp on a 117.5 mm base.
5. Install a LED bulb only.

Notes

⚠️ Use LED bulbs only.
PLA may deform with high heat from incandescent bulbs.
