Description
The currency of Game of Thrones is often mentioned in the show, especially in the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Â We get some very brief looks at it as well. These coins are based on those brief views from the TV show and not necessarily on the GOT Wiki. Â They are the same on both sides, which is not typical of coins, but this is the better side.
Â
The orientation for printing is upright to get as much detail as possible. You can also print them lying down if you prefer and glue them together. I didn't like the seam. Â I will also paint a few of these to be more realistic.Â
Â
Finally, you can set the print sequence to print them all at once in various filaments listed here.
Â
Design Process: It took me quite a few iterations to get to this point, with various designs, as you can see, in one of the pictures. Â The Stag and the Dragon are made based on the house sigils, with some editing before using the Makerlab relief sculpture software. Â I then simplified the model in Bambu Studio and brought it into a CAD program before adding it to the coin I designed with fluted edges and a raised lip around the circumference.Â
Â
1 Gold Dragon = 210 Silver Stags or 1470 Copper Stars
1 Silver Stag = 7 Copper Stars
Â
I hope you enjoy. Â Here is a video of the design, print and painting process.
