Trash Can Hinge Replacement

This is a hinge to fit on a kitchen trash can. Our hinge broke and instead of throwing it away and buying a new trashcan I decided to put my 3D Printer to work. Granted it took several hours to model this so it may have been cheaper to just buy a new trash can but it was fun to make. Cost of filament is $1.64, so much cheaper than buying a new trash can now that the hinge has been modeled.

There are two covers for the back. This is so you can insert the metal rods into the bracket slots then once the hinge is in place you can tap the rods back out to lock into the trash can slots. The tabs for these are very small (will make bigger the next time I have to reprint this) but they do work to keep the covers on the back to make it look clean, just remember the tabs face up, if you insert them wrong they will break.
