Description
This is the first version of my modular sock blockers, designed to be easy to assemble and disassemble. The idea behind this design is simple: sock blockers should not take up much space when they are not in use. The model separates into several parts so you can store it flat and assemble it only when needed.
I also wanted to make the design size flexible. One base cannot realistically cover sizes 36 to 42 because the leg section needs to change proportionally. However, some nearby sizes can share the same base.
Two base sizes are currently included:
Additional sizes may be added based on feedback.
Because printing accuracy depends heavily on printer calibration, I included multiple tolerance options for the base and middle connectors.
Choose the version that works best for your printer.
This design is still evolving. I’ve already given several prototypes to my knitting friends for testing and will use their feedback to improve the model.
If you print these sock blockers, I would love to hear:
Your feedback will help shape the next versions.
Boost MeP.S. I’m also working on another version of these sock blockers designed specifically for selling, with clearer assembly and labels for customers. You can learn more about it on my Patreon.
