Glowing Magic Stone

Legend says this stone holds the trapped energy of ancient Old World sorcerers. Discovered deep within forgotten forests, this fractured rock bleeds pure, glowing magic... or at least, the glow of a battery-powered tea light 😛

I designed this to be printed in separate parts. The core is translucent blue PETG to let the light shine through, and the outer rock is matte gray PLA. If I printed it with multiple materials, they wouldn't stick together, plus printing them as different pieces avoids a lot of poop waste!

🛠️ Assembly 

• Step 1: Sand the joining surfaces of the front pieces to ensure they sit completely flush. 
• Step 2: Insert the glowing inner piece. You can safely bend the front rock piece just a little bit, the designed "cracks" act as relief cuts, so it won't snap. Apply a little pressure to push the inner piece into the cracks, you could use a bit of glue if you want.
• Step 3: Assemble the back. Since the back is split into several parts, apply glue to the inner edges and inner of the piece. Tip: Wrap the pieces tightly with tape so they don't shift while drying. 
• Step 4: Once the main rock is completely dry and structurally solid, glue the base to the main piece.

*For the photos, I used a different light source, since the little tea light from bambulab wasn't very bright.
