Description
Created an upgraded version Easter egg that resembles the iconic Easters candy “Peeps” popping out of a cracked egg. You can use white to keep a natural look or brown to make it look like a chocolate egg. This internal area is similar to a conventional plastic easter egg.
Printing:
This is is printed by object by default on this profile. To save waste I have the eyes print separate from the body. It does use supports inside the head portion, the default settings have worked pretty well for me i just use my needle nose pliers and with two grabs it all pops out with no issue after over 5 trial prints. Fuzzy skin was also use on top portion to give that sugary texture found on candy.
Assembly: As stated before to save waste i have separated colors. The eyes do have recessed holes to help with alignment but they are not deep so it can slide when super gluing so just be careful until dried. The top and bottom are a snap together connector similar to traditional Easters eggs.
PLEASE NOTE: I made the snap connection is VERY tight so that the print just doesn't separate at the slightest touch, I've printed around 10 of these myself now and it takes a little finesse and pressure to push together but it has a strong hold and I promise if you line it up there should be no issue.
Materials: All filament used was Bambu Labs PLA Basic, and super glue.
