Triple Helix Fidget - Double Cog

Sensory fidget featuring a triple helix.  Two cogs are trapped in the structure and move up and down the triple helix at different speeds.  Can be changed up to include only the inner cog, only the outer cog, or both cogs.  Designed for, and with the assistance of an Occupational Therapist to use with her students to help focus.

 

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

To print, print the cogs first.  When complete, remove the cogs and set them aside.  Next, start printing the triple helix.  Note that it can be a completely different colour than the cogs.  The print will automatically pause after a few minutes (pause built into the profile).  At this point, insert the cogs in the triple helix as shown in the pictures.  Then resume the print.  The print will finish, trapping the wedge between the double helix.  When complete, be very careful removing the supports.
