A tactile fidget clicker inspired by the Animal Crossing fossil icon. This project is designed for easy assembly and a satisfying "clicky" feel.
Components Needed
- Switch: 1x Otemu Blue (or any MX-compatible 3-pin clicky switch).
- Filament: Blue PLA (Base) and White PLA (Fossil/Stars).
- Adhesive: Glue is required for the star pieces.
- Note: This design does not require AMS. Parts are separated by color/plate.
Printing Options for the Fossil (White Plate)
There are two versions of the white fossil part to choose from:
- Option 1 (Vertical Print): Printed on its side for the highest surface detail.
- Note: This requires a Brim. After printing, you must sand down the brim area with sandpaper to ensure the clicker moves smoothly without catching on the base.
- Option 2 (Flat Print): Printed face-up. No sanding required, but may show more visible layer lines on the curves.
Assembly Instructions
- Switch: Snap your Otemu Blue switch into the center of the blue base.
- Stars: Apply a small drop of glue to the decorative slots on the front of the base, then attach the star pieces.
- Fossil: Once the fossil part is cleaned (and sanded if you chose Option 1), simply press it onto the switch stem.
Enjoy your tactile fossil discovery!
