Description

Small stands to hold NFC tags. Originally, I designed these for logging meds, but their use for habit tracking and lots of other purposes became apparent. I use the NFC tags to trigger Shortcuts on my iPhone.

There are four stands included in the 3mf file: 1 tag, 2 tags, 3 tags, 4 tags and 6 tags. The 4 and 6 tag versions use the same stand. There is a plate that fits into the stand with the openings for the covers. Using a separate plate makes it easy to get some color into the stands and allows the textured surface of the build plate to appear on the front of the stand. The 3mf file is set up for white in AMS slot 1, black in slot 2, and light gray in slot 3. The small black line near the base of the stand is just for appearance. Color choices are arbitrary, but those used here give nice contrast to make the covers easy to read.

The covers (included in a separate 3mf, see Download STL/CAD Files section) are sized for 25 mm round, NFC tags.* For triggering Shortcuts you can use really simple NFC 213 tags. 214 and 215 tags hold more information. They will work with these stands but are more than is necessary for triggering a Shortcut.

* The NFC tags on empty Bambu filament roles can also be used to trigger iOS Shortcuts. Sorry, they don't work to trigger an automation with an Android phone.
