140 mm Fan Holder for Xbox Series S

Here is a holder for a 140 mm fan to keep the Xbox Series S cool.

We had the experience that it restarts or slows down in hot summer conditions. 

Since adding the fan the console runs without any issues.

 

Build instructions:

You need 4 additional  M3 x 6 mm to M3 x 10 mm screws with a standard flat head (Philips, Torx, etc. (max. 2.2mm height)).

Just screw them in carefully (not over tight). 

The holder and and screws are just to keep the fan in place.

 

Additional material:

Of course you need a fan that can be used directly with the UBS outlet of the Xbox.

or grab a standard 12 V 140 mm computer fan and build your own 5 to 12 V DC/DC converter.

or use an external power supply for the fan.
