2x4 Work Bench or Shelf Leg Protectors "L" Shaped

Protect the end of your 2x4 work bench or shelf legs to prevents the board from absorbing any moisture from the ground or splintering if you slide it over the ground.  This is for two boards secured together at a 90 degree angle making an “L” shape which is often used to make very sturdy work bench or shelf legs.

 

Note that 2x4's are not a precision milled board and can vary dimensionally.  I iterated a few times to end up with a nice friction fit, but a different lot of boards could make the fit loose or tighter to the point where you may need to slightly scale the model.  In most cases scaling by 1% bigger or smaller will be sufficient.  Also, you need to make sure your boards are flush on the one end and nailed together at a true 90 degrees.  Again, scaling bigger can compensate for imperfections.
