Inspired by Ephesians 6, this design features a Christian knight with shield and cross representing the spiritual armor believers wear daily. The bold emblem creates a strong visual statement while serving as a functional hitch cover for trucks, SUVs, and vehicles with standard hitch receivers.

This design was created to be durable for road use while still printing cleanly on FDM printers.

The decorative emblem is large enough to be clearly visible from behind the vehicle while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

Strength & Structural Design

This model uses a modifier in the profile to balance durability and print efficiency.

Decorative Cover

• 15% infill
• 2 walls

The decorative front plate does not carry structural load, so it can print lighter while still remaining strong and visually clean.

Hitch Sleeve (Receiver Shaft)

• 50% infill
• 3 walls

The sleeve that inserts into the hitch receiver is reinforced for strength and durability, ensuring it can handle road vibration and normal vehicle use.

Reinforced Connection Design

The connection between the hitch sleeve and the decorative emblem includes chamfered transitions.

These chamfers:

• increase surface contact between parts
• distribute stress more evenly
• strengthen the joint between the receiver shaft and emblem
• improve long-term durability during driving

This design choice helps prevent weak points where the emblem meets the sleeve.

Printing Notes

• Prints well on most FDM printers
• Designed to work with PLA or PLA+
• AMS-friendly for multi-color prints
• No supports required

PLA+ is recommended if the vehicle will experience heat or outdoor exposure, as it generally offers improved durability over standard PLA.
