Description
I wanted to install a larger hard drive that was specifically designed for surveillance recording. The system documentation says it supports drives up to 14TB, but the internal bay only accepts 2.5" HDDs or SSDs, which limits your options.
After some trial and error, I figured out a workaround. Since I needed a way to connect a larger drive, I extended the internal SATA connection to an external drive.

Using this kit along with the SATA cable lets you extend the internal SATA connection so you can connect an external drive.
