Heavy Ball – Easy-to-Print, Clean Assembly Design

A Heavy Ball model designed from the ground up with simplicity, accessibility, and clean assembly in mind.

I know there are plenty of Poké Ball models out there, but my goal with this design was to create something more efficient and user-friendly for everyone. This version is styled after the Heavy Ball, while still being printable on virtually any 3D printer — no AMS or multi-material system required.

Each part is designed to slide together smoothly and securely, making assembly quick, straightforward, and frustration-free. The focus was on clean lines, reliable fit, and a design that just works right off the build plate.

The distinct Heavy Ball detailing is achieved through smart part separation, allowing you to easily print in different colours without added complexity.

As a big Pokémon fan, I wanted to create something that stays true to the original design while improving the overall printing and building experience for others.
